As TickTag application, we respect your privacy. The core features of the app, including product label scanning and analysis, can be used anonymously without requiring any personal information.

We only collect the following data if the user chooses to register:

  • Email address (used for account registration and management)
  • Product label images (that the user chooses to save while logged in)
  • Analysis results (that the user chooses to save while logged in)

2. Purpose of Data Usage

The collected data is only used if the user has registered and is logged in. It serves the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Storing analysis results and images preferred by the logged-in user
  • Improving service quality and personalized experience for registered users
  • Security and verification processes

3. Data Security

Your data is protected with industry standard security measures. All data is stored encrypted and can only be accessed by authorized personnel.

4. Data Sharing

User data is not shared with third parties: Analysis results and saved images are stored only in the user's own account.

If you allow tracking on your device (via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), our app and third-party partners (e.g. Google AdMob) may access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) in order to serve personalized ads.

The IDFA is used to display more relevant ads based on your interactions across other apps and websites. If you choose not to allow tracking, only non-personalized ads will be shown.

You can change your permission preferences at any time in your device settings.

5. User Rights

Our users have the following rights:

  • Request deletion of their data
  • Request access to their data
  • Request correction of their data
  • Permanently delete their accounts
